Today’s video is an interview with Dan Burke regarding his book, which was really birthed by the many, many readers of SpiritualDirection.com from around the world, who really desire deeply to know the Lord but, at times, struggle with this how to do this, how to get out of spiritual struggles, etc. It includes endorsements from experts on the value of the book. Dan talks about the blind spots we all have and the need we have to have others help us overcome these blind spots. Do you need a spiritual director? This book helps us explore an aspect of spirituality sometimes only available to seminarians, and those in academic settings. He speaks of the normal progress one undergoes in maturing in the spiritual life, and how, with one’s spiritual director, one can identify and correct areas that need improvement. And, there is much, much more in his book which will benefit the beginning spiritual directee (or those who have never had spiritual direction) and those more advanced souls, who are seeking to go into the deep in their spiritual lives.
