Prayer for the Intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

by Dan Burke

Dear Friends, July 16th is a special day for me. It marks my birthday as a Catholic. On this special day, I would be grateful if you could join us in a novena for the needs of this apostolate and particularly for the souls of those we serve. The needs of priests, religious, and laypeople for spiritual formation are vast. We reach more than 190 countries, and hundreds of thousands of readers who are seeking the sustenance only found in the spiritual riches of our glorious Church. There is so much more we could do if we could find the funding to expand our services. The spiritually hungry are many, and the workers and resources are few. We would be grateful if you could join us on this special day and time to pray for the needs we have.

Prayer for the Intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel – (July 16 – July 24)

O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein that you are my Mother.

Intention: For the temporal and spiritual needs of this apostolate; for clarity and guidance in discerning God’s will for its growth; and in gratitude for the prayers, love, and support of this world-family, may we truly reflect what Jesus speaks of in John 13:35 when He says, “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart, to succor me in this my necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. O show me herein that you are my Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us that have recourse to thee. (3 times)

Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands. (3 times)

Amen.
