Ruth Engelthaler

Ruth Engelthlaer is a Catholic wife and mother of two adult sons and a daughter entering high school. She received her Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Arizona State University. She is a playwright, poet, and student of iconography and is developing several novels and picture books for young audiences. Ruth developed a script for St. Anne’s STAAGE ministry in Gilbert, Arizona, St. Anne: Grandmother of Our Lord, produced at that venue in October 2022. She is a passionate student of St. John Paul II, particularly Theology of the Body, his Letter to Artists, and God Is Beauty. She has a profound devotion to the Mass of Ages and relishes the treasures of the Catholic Faith handed down through the Apostles in both the Western and Eastern Rites. She seeks to form her spirituality, particularly in accordance with the teachings of the Carmelite Saints.
