A modern psychologist once claimed: “The devil is just a psychological construct.”
But if that’s true, then who was Jesus arguing with in the desert (Matthew 4:1–11)? Was He delusional? Of course not. Having witnessed exorcisms and supernatural realities firsthand, I can say with certainty: the devil is real.
So why do people try to explain him away?
👉 Because if they admit he exists, they must do something about it.
Still, not everything is demonic. Sometimes we’re just tired, lukewarm, or worn out. But that state can make us vulnerable—more easily manipulated into sin. That’s why Scripture warns us: “Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8, RSVCE)
