How to Analyze Your Feelings With Discernment
When emotions rise, it’s easy to believe that what you feel must be the whole truth. But discernment begins with naming your emotions and analyzing them.
✅ Ask: What am I feeling?
✅ Ask: Why am I feeling this way?
✅ Ask: Is it connected to something deeper?
✅ Ask: Am I interpreting this fairly, or could there be another explanation?
It’s okay to acknowledge hurt, but you don’t have to let it drive you into a spiral. Emotional honesty opens the door to freedom—and to God’s grace in the moment.
