Jesus I Trust in You!

for post on Jesus I trust in You

Divine Mercy Sunday

Jesus I Trust in You!  In 1931, Jesus appeared to Saint Faustina Kowalska and instructed her to paint an image according to the pattern she saw, with the words inscribed “Jesus I Trust in You!” on it.  He promised that whoever would venerate this image would not perish and would have victory over their enemies here on earth, especially at their dying moment. The two rays coming from Christ’s heart stand for the blood and water which gushed forth from His Sacred Heart in atonement for us and for our sins.  The white ray represents the water which makes souls righteous.  And, the red ray represents the Blood which is the life of souls.  The Image of the Divine Mercy, the Feast of Mercy, the Hour of Mercy, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the Novena of Divine Mercy are all devotions associated with this great feast. The National Shrine of the Divine Mercy is located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts and you can access its site by clicking here.
