Apostoli Viae Australia Retreat and Investiture 2025

Our Apostoli Viae community in Australia holds an annual retreat and investiture. During the retreat, we pray, receive spiritual formation, deepen in fellowship and community, and celebrate the Eucharist and our investiture.

We warmly invite those seeking spiritual formation, community and a more profound relationship with the Lord to join us. One of the highlights of our retreat is our investiture, during which formal members of Apostoli Viae progress in association and make or renew their promises. Another highlight is a Zoom meeting with our founder, Dan Burke and his wife, Stephanie. During this meeting, retreatants will have the opportunity to ask Dan and Stephanie questions about spiritual formation, mental prayer, spiritual warfare, and any other topics related to the theme of our retreat.

Next year’s theme for our retreat has been inspired by the following Gospel from Matthew.

And when evening was come, they brought to him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word: and all that were sick he healed: that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophet Isaias, saying: He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases. – Matt 8:16-17

We will hold our retreat at the Mt Carmel Retreat Centre in Varroville, NSW and stay at the Carmel House during our retreat, which can accommodate up to 55 guests. The bedrooms are very well appointed and offer a range of bedding configurations, including double and single beds ( perfect for families). The site provides:

• A conference room.
• Five breakout rooms.
• Shared bathrooms.
• A games room.
• Dining and kitchen facilities.
• A private chapel.
• Walking trails.
• A swimming pool.

We have strived to make the retreat as affordable as possible. The rate includes four nights of accommodation, meals, partial linen service ( includes a fresh fitted sheet, pillow, and pillowcase. Guests must bring their own doona or sleeping bag and bath towel.), and administrative costs.

Child ( 5-12 yrs old ): $175
Full linen service :
Additional $25 per person.

To get the most out of the retreat, it is preferable that you attend the whole five days, although we understand that this may not be possible for some people. Costs will be on a pro-rata basis. First, preference will be given to those who can attend the entire retreat.
