Prayer for the Intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Dear Friends, July 16th is a special day for me. It marks my birthday as a Catholic. On this special day, I would be grateful if you could join us in a novena for the needs of this apostolate and particularly for the souls of those we serve. The needs of priests, religious, and laypeople for spiritual formation are vast. We reach more than 190 countries, and hundreds of thousands of readers who are seeking the sustenance only found in the spiritual riches of our glorious Church. There is so much more we could do if we could find the funding to expand our services (regular spiritual formation through online courses, publications, etc.). The spiritually hungry are many, and the workers and resources are few. We would be grateful if you could join us on this special day and time to pray for the needs we have.

Prayer for the Intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel - (July 16 – July 24, 2012)

O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein that you are my Mother.

Intention:  For the temporal and spiritual needs of this apostolate; for clarity and guidance in discerning God’s will for its growth; and in gratitude for the prayers, love, and support of this world-family, may we truly reflect what Jesus speaks of in John 13:35 when He says, “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart, to succor me in this my necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. O show me herein that you are my Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us that have recourse to thee. (3 times)

Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands. (3 times)

Amen.

I spent my Sunday yesterday proclaiming the Message of Divine Mercy in one of our Rural Parishes – about 80 kms from Nairobi City Centre where I live – to a very attentive audience of over 400 Faithful in one of the Local Churches on my feet for three solid hours….we were getting home at around 8.00 p.m. in the evening….so, this morning, after my morning prayers, Dan, at my age I felt I am permitted to spoil myself and be indolent……so I went back to bed…….I have just woken up at noon and this is the first Mail I have opened.

Well, Dan, be assured of my Prayers. I have posted the Novena Prayer on my Desktop and I shall be praying for this your Blessing-filled Apostolate Intentions along with the daily Intercessory Prayers I pray for you before the Blessed Sacrament, during the 3.00 O’Clock – The Hour of Great Mercy

    Be blessed

I did not realize this morning that it was the Feast of Mount Carmel. Though I knew it was in July. It was only at Mass that I found out. So grateful that I had the unexpected opportunity to serve at Mass. :D
I’ll add this to my night prayers tonight! Happy Birthday! God Bless!

    .

    • LizEst

Translation: It’s a pleasure to help with our poor prayers as it’s needed all over the world and also [it's needed], in this summer time, where many young people have gone out to seminaries to have that experience with God our Savior, that our Mother may bless these sending [forths]!

Gracias maricarmen por uniserse con nuestras oraciones. Que Dios la bendiga! Donde vive Ud?
(Thank you maricarmen for uniting yourself with our prayers. May God bless you! Where do you live?)

Happy ‘Catholic’ Birthday to you — as today is my actual Birthday, I will say a prayer for you and your work, believing that the prayers of a ‘Birthday Girl’ carry special weight:)
    God Bless you!

    • Becky Ward

      Well, Happy Birthday Mary!! :)

    • LizEst

Belated Happy Birthday to you, too, Mary. It would have been my grandmother’s (Gloria del Carmen born 1888) birthday also.

And, of course, a belated Happy “Catholic” Birthday to you, Dan.

Dan, be assured of my prayers. We Franciscans, (I am an SFO) love Mary so much that we have the Crown Rosary where we meditate on her Seven Joys on Saturday and Monday. We also meditate on her Seven Sorrows during Lent. This Apostolate will receive the indulgence of this Rosary today and until I can no longer pray it.

    • Becky Ward

Is this the same thing as the Franciscan Crown? The story of this rosary is beautiful…and I enjoy praying this rosary too!
      Thank you for your prayers!!

  • MelissaStacy

I offer my prayers, too, and thank you for all you do in helping us all draw closer to Christ.
