CSD Around the World Update – June 2012

June 14, 2012 by

Dear Friends, as usual, the Lord has surprised me again with your response to the book club. As of this post, we have had more than 400 people sign up from all over the world! Here’s one of the many notes we received, this one is from the Daughters of the Sacred Heart in Malta:

Hallo, This is Sr Ann, I live in Malta, I would like to thank you and congratulate you for the wonderful Job you are doing. I appreciate and benefit from all your wonderful posts. My congregation is Daughters of the Sacred Heart, would kindly wish to be part of the club and to get updates . Thanking you very much in advance. God bless you. Sr Ann

Here’s another note from a priest in Liberia Africa:

Greetings in the Lord. I am Fr. Lionel Xavier, a Salesian of Don Bosco, ordained in December 1973, and have been working as a missionary in Africa since 1995. I have worked in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya and now posted to Liberia. I would be very grateful to get some good spiritual animation notes as well, as recent challenges that we are facing as Catholics. Our country after the civil war has been deprived of good catholic book centers. Thanks to the websites we have we are able to use them… there is so much confusion among the Catholics and if one is weak in his or her faith…. then they slip away to the other churches. I am grateful for accepting me as a member. I cannot send you donations but I could offer masses for your intentions…. God bless you. Happy Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Fr.Lionel Xavier, sdb Rector and Parish Priest, Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church, St.Joseph’s Parish, Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia.

I share this in order to rejoice with you regarding the amazing ways in which the Lord is working through this apostolate. For those of you who pray for us, tell others about us, and help us financially, we are grateful!

Here’s another look at the global impact of Catholic Spiritual Direction via a snapshot of our recent readers from around the world (represented by the red dots)! Believe it or not, we are on our way to over one million page views this year. This success is also resulting in increased levels of site traffic requiring that we move to a more powerful server (which we just completed today).

As you might guess, all of this great news also comes with increased costs. Here’s where you might come into the picture. If you are new to this effort or if you are like Fr. Lionel and cannot afford to give, please pray and tell others about us as a way to join with us in this work (as many of you already do!).

If you are like many of our readers who live in relative affluence (at least compared to many of our friends in Africa and other countries), we would be grateful if you would consider making this apostolate a giving priority. Believe it or not, a monthly gift of $25.oo can go a long way to supporting our work. It may not seem like a lot but when ten people give even five or ten dollars a month, the giving ads up and helps us to budget and manage our expenses effectively.  As our regular readers know, we spend 99.99% of our time serving all of you and very little time and energy asking for support. So, please respond now if you are so led by the Lord! Click here to give any amount either as a one time gift or monthly support.

Beyond those who can give a lower levels on a monthly basis, we are seeking a handful of able benefactors (those who have been blessed by this effort) to help us take this effort to the next level. Our vision? – To disseminate/teach/promote faithful Catholic spirituality to millions of Catholics around the world. Please contact me at if you have any questions we might be able to answer in this regard.

Whatever you can do, we are grateful for you, and for the incredible privilege of advancing the Kingdom of God through our service to hungry souls around the world.

That’s exactly what I thought.  One never knows what the Holy Spirit will do. Encouragement to us to be docile to Him in our own lives and watch God be glorified!

we have so much to learn from 1 another… each person has a expereince or country ,, of God working in their lives…
as we share our lives with each other… we will be able to understand , grow and see the likeness in our own lives and countrys… may God bless us… and ressurect us from death.. in new life with God.. renewing us and our countrys for the glory of God

Of the many Catholic Websites I am subscribed to, this is my Gift from Heaven. My “Donation” is to pray for all of you on this Apostolate at the 3.00 O’Clock Holy Hour, so that the Holy Spirit will touch the souls of those who are well endowed to generously donate to the best Internet Website where we help one another, get educated and encouraged on our journey to our Eternal Homeland. God bless you all
